    State Championships on Little Mountain

We are two days out, and it looks like the weather just might cooperate for a dry morning.  The course is in good shape and should provide for another year of great championship racing.  There is no road construction going on on any of the roads in Cache Valley leading to the race, so there should be no surprise detours (I can't speak for what is going on outside of the valley).

A couple of points to be aware of:  We almost didn't get the permit to use this course this year because of some "issues" that occured last year on race day.  There were numerous complaints from Clarkston residents that cyclists were urinating in public.  The State has already lost 2 great venues because of this, and if it happens again this year we will lose this course as well.  There will be at least 6 toilets available for you to use at the start/finish (4 portable and 2 plumbed).  You may have to wait in line for a few minutes, but that is part of the drill.  Local law enforcement has been asked by the city to cite anyone caught "with their pants down". Please don't put this race in jeapardy by going anywhere but in the toilet. Additionally, there were complaints to the city of cyclists knocking on resident's doors and asking to use their bathrooms, again, the 6 toilets at the ballpark are for your use, please don't bother the residents. If you really can't wait those 5 - 10 minutes for an open toilet, you can ride a mile in almost any direction and get out of town and out of eye-shot to take care of your business. During the race, if you need to relieve yourself please do so outside of city limits.  This shouldn't be difficult as 90% of the course is outside of city limits.

We are hoping for a great event with no safety, traffic or timing issues. Please help us out by being at the race on time and using common sense before, during and after the race.

    Thanks for your cooperation.
